Venting Bathroom Sink

Clogged venting pipes are why bathroom sink smells like sewer after finding out whether the water was the cause of the sewer like smell probably you have realized this was not the cause.

From the side angle it becomes easier to imagine what these pipes might look like behind your bathroom or kitchen walls. This is called a common vent and can be found on back to back sinks. If venting through the roof is not an option an air emittance valve can be added at the highest possible place in the cabinet below the sink.
