Bathroom faucet leak repair. Once you determine which side is leaking turn off both supply valves. If the leak stops then you need to replace the cold cartridge. Remove and replace the cartridge step 6.
Pry out the seals and clean the cylinders. Remove the handle cap handle and faceplate step 4. Gather tools and materials step 2.
After unscrewing and removing the handle locate the escutcheon which sits directly. Remove the escutcheon cap. Be careful not to overtighten.
A two handle lavatory faucet lever or knob style will be a three hole set up however the spread that the faucet takes up can vary between 4 and 8 16. If that stops the leak then you need to replace the hot cartridge. Unscrew and remove the disk cylinder.
Replace other parts and test step 7. Reattach the packing nut and tighten with a crescent wrench. A large version is available in the addendum at the end of this article.
Replace the screw cover if required. T wo handle 3 hole centerset and mini widespread 4 spread. Turn off the water supply and open the faucet step 3.
